We’re excited to introduce Kylie Marie from Lush Baubles, one of the talented local makers joining us at Locally Adorned this Sunday, 13th October.
What began as a hobby—tinkering with beads and gemstones—turned into a full-time business during her maternity leave, when Kylie realised her passion for jewellery design could become so much more. Now, she handcrafts unique pieces using vintage finds, gemstones, and quirky materials from all over the world.
Ahead of the market, we chatted with Kylie about her creative journey, the challenges of running a small business, and the joy she finds in connecting with customers. Don’t miss the chance to visit her stall this Sunday and see her beautiful work in person.

Like many creative journeys, Lush Baubles started small. What began as a part-time hobby, exploring beads and gemstones, quickly grew into something much more. Kylie’s passion for crafting soon became her full-time pursuit.
“I started just tinkering with designs, but as my skills grew, I realised this was more than just a pastime—it was something I could do every day and truly love.”
Fast forward, and now Lush Baubles is a thriving jewellery business that reflects Kylie’s artistic flair and dedication to her craft.

Each piece Kylie creates carries a story. She sources elements from all over the world—vintage treasures, antique gems, and unusual bits that catch her eye. Working from her home office, she lets the materials guide her.
“Sometimes I don’t even have a clear image of the final product when I start,” she says. “But over time, I’ve developed a knack for knowing what will work together. The creative process is always evolving, and I love it.”
Kylie’s designs are as eclectic as they are beautiful, making each piece a true original.

What once started as a hobby is now Kylie’s full-time job. It was during maternity leave that she realised the potential of Lush Baubles as a full-time business.
“When I had more time to focus on my designs, I saw how much more I could do. My husband and I decided to take the plunge, and I haven’t looked back since.”

Lush Baubles is committed to sourcing ethically. All of Kylie’s gemstones are conflict-free, and any animal-based elements are sourced ethically—an important consideration for her and her customers.
“Sustainability is something I keep in mind with every piece I create,” she says.

For Kylie, being part of the Locally Adorned market is all about the people.
“The customers are amazing—whether they buy something or just chat, I enjoy every interaction.”
She’s excited to bring her collection to Locally Adorned this Sunday 13th October and connect with everyone who stops by her stall. If you're attending on the weekend, make sure to visit Lush Baubles and discover the stunning collection. You can also follow her journey on Facebook and Instagram.
