Born from a Health Transformation
Benny’s journey started in 2021. Weighing 128kg and feeling sluggish, he made the decision to adopt the carnivore diet to reset his lifestyle. But after months of eating plain, seasoned steak, he found himself searching for ways to make the diet more enjoyable. That’s when he turned to store-bought jerky and biltong—only to be disappointed by the ingredient lists full of GMOs, artificial sugars, and additives.
Determined to stay true to his health goals, Benny decided to make his own jerky—clean, high-quality, and full of flavour. Friends and family were immediately hooked and started asking to buy his creations. Demand quickly outpaced supply, and just like that, Konvict Jerky was born.
Fast forward to today, and Benny is 48kg lighter, significantly healthier, and running a thriving small business that’s earned multiple Perth Royal Food Awards—including gold and champion titles in 2023.
