Meet Hey Prints Studios: Bringing Gaming-Inspired Creations to Life

If you love discovering something a little different at the markets, Hey Prints Studios is one to add to your list this Easter.

Joining us at Easter Markets @ The Quay on Saturday 4 April, and returning again for Gather & Gourmet on Saturday 18 April at Burswood Park, this creative duo is bringing a unique mix of gaming-inspired design, custom gifts and 3D-printed pieces that are as thoughtful as they are fun.

Behind Hey Prints Studios are Hanzel and Diana, a Perth-based couple who turned a shared hobby into something much bigger than they expected.

From Hobby to Handmade Business

Hey Prints Studios began in February 2025 as a simple creative outlet. Both Hanzel and Diana are self-confessed gamers, and much of their inspiration comes from the worlds, characters and nostalgic moments they’ve experienced through gaming.

What started as experimenting with ideas soon grew into a small business built around creating pieces that spark joy.

“We hope our work inspires people to slow down, get creative, and surround themselves with things that make them smile,” they share.

That sense of creativity and playfulness runs through everything they make.

Every product from Hey Prints Studios is created in their mini home studio, where design and production come together.

Their process begins with 3D modelling, which is often the most time-intensive stage. Some designs can take days or even weeks to refine before they’re ready to print. From there, pieces are brought to life using PLA, a biodegradable and plant-based material derived from sources like corn starch or sugarcane.

The printing process itself can take hours, sometimes even days, depending on the complexity of the design.

Once printed, many items are carefully assembled and finished by hand, ensuring each piece meets their standards before it reaches customers.

Alongside their own designs, they also support other creators by working with Patreon artists and purchasing licensed 3D files, which they then print and bring to life.

Personalised Pieces Made to Be Remembered

One of the standout aspects of Hey Prints Studios is their focus on custom-made products.

Their range includes:

  • personalised keychains
  • custom 3D figures with display boxes
  • lightboxes
  • cake toppers
  • vinyl stickers and more

These pieces are designed to be meaningful, whether they’re gifts for special occasions or keepsakes that reflect someone’s personality.

Because many items are made to order, no two pieces are exactly the same. It also means the team can focus on quality while reducing unnecessary waste.

A Business Built on Passion

Hey Prints Studios is currently a side project, but one that both Hanzel and Diana are deeply invested in.

Before entering the world of 3D printing, they were running an online clothing business through eBay. It was through those sales that they were able to invest in their first 3D printer and begin learning the craft.

With some background in 3D modelling from their university days, they were able to build on their skills and gradually refine their process.

Each project has become a learning opportunity, helping them improve their techniques and expand what they’re able to create.

Memorable Moments Along the Way

One of their proudest achievements so far has been seeing their business featured as a sponsor for a live concert in Perth.

The event, held in December 2025 for P-Pop group SB19, gave them the opportunity to see their brand displayed on a large scale, something they describe as both surreal and incredibly rewarding.

They’ve also worked on large personalised orders for events interstate, including a Melbourne concert, which further cemented their confidence in what they’re building.

Thoughtful Approach to Sustainability

Sustainability is something they continue to keep in mind as they grow.

By producing items made to order, they avoid excess stock and reduce material waste. Careful planning also helps minimise failed prints, and working from home lowers their day-to-day footprint.

It’s a practical, considered approach that reflects how small businesses can still make a positive impact through mindful processes.

Why They Love MarketLife Events

For Hanzel and Diana, being part of MarketLife events is about more than just selling products.

They’ve found the experience to be welcoming, supportive and well organised, with a genuine focus on helping small businesses succeed.

It’s this sense of community that makes events like Easter Markets @ The Quay and Gather & Gourmet such a great fit for their brand.
