East Fremantle’s George Street Festival celebrates the unfolding story of East Fremantle – a unique heritage blend – with local residents and the wider West Australian community. In keeping with the ethos of the local community there will be a strong focus on environmental sustainability, supported by a general feeling of health and wellbeing.

If you are a trader who can bring quality food, produce, products or services to the event we would love to receive your expression of interest.

Please note, all expressions of interest will be considered by the Town of East Fremantle Event Organising Committee prior to confirmation of acceptance.

Trading priority will be given to local businesses that operate on George Street, and within the Town of East Fremantle, along with residents of the Town of East Fremantle.

All traders should:
• be supplying genuine artisan* products and services that are ethically** produced, food products should be wholesome***;
*Artisan - made in a traditional or non-mechanized way using high-quality ingredients / materials. Products that are imported / made overseas / purchased from a wholesaler are deemed inappropriate for this event.
**Ethical – ingredients and materials should be purchased in a manner that demonstrates respect for the people who produce them as well as for the environment.
***Wholesome – foods should be conducive to or suggestive of good health and physical well-being.
• present exceptionally well with a professional set-up, including appropriately dressed staff; and
• be eco-friendly, noting that this is a waste-wise event and a disposable plastic bag free zone.

Consideration will be given to the number of vendors offering similar products and / or services, only a limited number of each type will be given permission to trade on event day.

If you are a food vendor (fresh or packaged), once your application has been approved you will be required to complete a request for a Temporary Food permit (no charge). This permit should be available for inspection at the event.

• Bump In Bump Out – information will be released closer to the event, please note there will be no storage facilities available pre or post Festival and traders must be active from 11am to 6pm unless otherwise advised.
• Marquees – must be quality engineered types only, between 3m x 3m and 6m x 3m in size. Stallholders must provide their own marquees. Stallholders must utilise hold down weights within their allocated site. The hold down points, located at ground level, must have weights of at least 18kg per point. Four points for 3m x 3m or eight points for 6m x 3m. Other infrastructure within the site (ie tables, product racks, shelves) should also be secured and not present a trip hazard, and provided by the stallholder.
• PA Systems – for voice or music, are not allowed on sites / in stalls, nor are any other noise emitting devices.
• Parking – trader parking will be located offsite within walking distance, as utilising parking adjacent to the event will only serve to deter potential visitors.
• Photographs – traders consent to the Town using any photographs submitted as part of applying, and any photographs taken during the event, for promotional purposes.
• Rubbish – when you leave your site must be left as it was found.
• Safety – all electrical equipment must be tagged in accordance with the requirements of AS 3769-2000, and cords should not cross public access ways.
• Weather – the Festival will go ahead in the event of rain being forecast, however, should there be a severe weather warning the cancellation procedure will be initiated.

Event Cancellation Terms and Conditions:

In the case where the Town must cancel the event, a full refund will be issued to stallholders/food vendors of any fees paid to the Town.

Should the stallholder/food vendor cancel their participation in the East Fremantle George Street Festival or is unable to attend due to any unforeseen circumstances, the stallholder/food vendor needs to notify the Town of such cancellation in writing. If notification of cancellation is given less than 2 weeks prior to the event, there shall be no refund of any fees paid to the Town.
